Bows and spells are a little redundant, but I don't want to tell you what to do, just what I would doĪs far as the rest is concerned, regarding armor I have covered everything in the guide, really, try CTRL+F "armor set". Will look really clean and you really don't need that DEX. If I were you since Watcher's Greatsword only requires 18 STR and 6 DEX, I would dump the bow, and put DEX at 15, FAI at 15 and VIT at 15. Rest looks fine even though FAI at 4 is really low, lightning and fire attacks are going to hurt you a lot. Yes, your spread seems good to me since there's a VIG and END soft cap at 20. I just did it and you will find a lot of good weapons to infuse with Dark or choose from! Edited Decemby Asturgis
If I were you I would do CTRL+F "Dark" and go through all of the entries real quick. I'm fairly certain I name all the game and DLC weapons that are the best to be infused with Dark somewhere. Strangely, lots of enemies and PVP players will be weak against Dark. What I can say for sure is that if you go Hexer and same amount of INT and FAI to be balanced, then Magic or Lightning isn't the best choice. I love the Greatsword and used it all the time with King's Ring (I think that's the one that adds fire DMG) and Fire Clutch. Mastodon Halberd, Washing Pole, Drakekeeper Sword, you name it, tons of DLC weapons as well, I talk about them I'm positive, OR any Fire Black Knight weapon is amazing. That's as good as it gets until the Dark Crypt Blacksword but not many people can use that monstrosity because of the crazy level/stats requirements.Īny other strong weapon you like with no innate elemental DMG can be infused with Dark to make a great weapon for you. I would recommend from memory to use the Magic Mace or the Fire Longsword at the beginning of the game, doesn't really matter at that point, then make a Dark Shadow Dagger on the side until you can get the Dark Roaring Halberd. Better with Dark in the long run, obviously.
So, your destruction potential is better with a Fire-based (and infused) weapon, or a Dark one. Well, it's been forever and I don't remember everything, but if you're really a Hexer, and really have as much INT as you have FAI, then the 2 best choices for you are NOT to use Magic or Lightning weapons (such as Watcher or Defender), but Fire or Dark weapons, because Fire and Dark are both increased by INT and FAI, whereas Lightning only by FAI and Magic only by INT. So, for a 30 int/ 30 faith hexer build, would using both the Defender Greatsword and Watcher Greatsword work well?
